Which thermostat would be best,.. In the summer here it can get to about 100f for a couple days,.. but can span 95f for a week at a time, then cool off,.. then get hot again,. but we average around 85f-90f. Also in the winter it can get down to -49f, so would I gain anything really by changing out my thermostat to a 180f?

EDIT,.. Because I can't edit the poll,.. I have decided to go with a Stant

Neither, get the Stant 14168 (64mm trim to 63mm)with the bypass blocker just like the stocker that way you won't throw codes everytime you truck doesn't warm up quick enough

Thanks,..

Wouldn't my e-fan help the slow warmup?

Do you have a link to this Stant about trimming?

Mr. Gasket here since day 1. No problems in the 5.7, no problems in the Stroker.

Thanks,.. I think I am going to go with the Stant mentioned above,.. it can get pretty cold up here and really don't mind trimming the 1mm,.. being a mechanic its pretty self explanatory.

I am glad I was able to do some more reading,.. thanks 05Ramhendrix

Cool, super simple to trim 1mm off. I just spun it around my grinder a couple times and lightly sanded rough edges. The reuseable rubber gasket cover any imperfections. 1mm just about the width of a spark plug gap or less. Some have made the install without trimming but i thought it would better to trim. You'll be glad you have the bypass blocker due to stock design. i had a Mr. Gasket for about a day. My truck never warmed up, needle hardly moved off cold
