Bigger isn't always better. 2.5" collectors is one of the reasons I'm at 385 rwtq on the dyno. The Dynatechs are staying on for now.

What's up with you and this TQ stuff....crazy kids!! :D ;)

Dynatechs seem to be a low end to mid range header, and the Pacesetter is a mid range to high RPM header. That's from a friend I installed the Dyantechs(that he could never get to stop rattling) on, then we intalled the Pacesetters instead...he liked the Pacesetters better too.

Pacesetters will out perform the the Dynatechs??????

I think Not.....

Dynatechs is what I'm running. Proof enough..............lol

j/k

I've installed both and I like the Dynatechs, hands down. $$$$

:thatfunny 13.0's with Pacesetters, oh yeah no stall, heads, or cam.... pacesetters hands down!! lol j/k

I went with coated pacesetters for the price/performance, IF mine rust away then I will just replace them and still be under the cost of dynatechs. I had to trim the tranny and slot one hole.

Pacesetters are nice, even with tranny-ear delete, no rust here (jet hot coated), if I had came up with more money then I would've gone Dynatech's also, maybe down the road when 12's are near I'll swap....hehe

I have the headman long tubes and really like them. Y pipe and headers fit perfect. install took me and a friend only a few hours.

Dynatechs here also... there all good, its really all about what you can afford.

2 of the fastest times were running Dynatechs...

just that the y-pipe that comes with the headers is horribly made to be held with clamps, my collectors were oval so i had to bend them to make them somewhat round to fit the y-pipe, i have to say i hate the y but the headers are awesome.
You told me that you dropped the header and scratched and bent the collector...How is that Pacesetters fault??

Plus I believe the $405 ones are only coated on the outside, whereas the $419 ones are coated in and out.

Collector diameter is a choice of what your after and works with your combo much like runner lengths and primary tubing sizes. I actually seen a ProStock 1200 HP 500ci Mopar at the track with a necked down venturi type collector reducer which went from around a 3-4" collector down to a 2.5 or so and back up to the 3-4" ...........its not always the biggest tubes, runners, primaries and such, its getting the combo to work with what you have and its use.You can have a low end cam, high end headers, and stall and have long intake runners which will have everything mixed up.

I have the jet coated Pacesteers but may make a set of reducers to experiment with for low end torque.........I would have loved to had the DynaTechs which were on my truck before I made the purchase but Todd pulled them off prior.........and if it werent for the price of the Dyna's I would probably have a set now.......pacesetters were more my budget, and I can make some simple changes if needed for exaclty what I want.

Thats the point i was about to make.

Also the Pacesetters have oval primaries rather than square like our exhaust ports. Are dynatechs square or oval??

Maybe but the fastest NA Ram out(wbw2/Brad) is running Pacesetters I believe. Also look at Rdhemi he has almost no mods and he's running Pacesetters and 13.0's. Torque will get you off the line, but after that first second or so I want high RPM power. With 4.56 gears and 28" tall DR's, I'm below 3500 RPM's for just a second or two. Maybe the heavier QC guys would benefit more from this then the lighter RC guys...... Just my opinion.
