It is actually perfectly level. It just looks a little taller. Oh, and I put new wheels on friday night.

18x9" KMC Rockstars in the Matte Black finish. Same tires as before. Still no rub.

The tires and wheels are a good match together, however I don't like either of them.


Here is the only photos I currently have of my trucks' wheel/tires.
2001 Dodge Ram 1500 Quad cab 5.9L Magnum 2wd.
2" lowering shackles (leveling kit) in the rear.

Factory aluminum 16x7" wheels wrapped in P265/70R-16 Bridgestone Dueler A/T tires:

I don't have my 2002-03 factory aluminum 17x8" wheels wrapped in P265/65R-17 Dunlop GrandTrek tires on my truck yet...
I'll get them mounted up next week and hopefully I can round up some lug nuts and get them on the truck late next week. I'll post some more photos when I do.

They are a direct fit and bolted on without any additional changes/parts.
They are from a 2002-03 Dodge Ram 1500.
The lug nuts on my truck were just cheap aftermarket units so I called Summit Racing (I had a coupon) and ordered (20) McGard 'Bulge' style cone seat #64010 aftermarket lug nuts. This way I could have a lug nut with a very large seat surface that takes advantage of the large seat surface on the 17" wheels.
The stock lug nuts probably would have been OK too.

My truck is a 2wd 1500 quad cab short box with the 5.9L Magnum engine & 46RE transmission.

If only it were about 1.5" lower all the way around...

The next few small plans are to adjust my front bumper correctly, install my chrome rear bumper, re-install the Ram emblem back on the front grille, paint my tonneau cover (black), paint the rear side window louvers (black), and then get some heated/power towing mirrors.
I'd like to find a nice chrome front bumper for it, but heh, that will probably never happen.
As stated I'd also like to lower it between 1-2", but that probably wont happen either.
